Buffalo in the Prioksko-Terrasniy Reserve – long-established inhabitants. The first buffalo was brought to us in 1953, it was a female named Mitsze from the Riga Zoo. The male buffalo Condor II was brought in 1954 from Askaniya Nova.

The nursery contains one buffalo family, young animals born in it, are taken to various zoos. In the nature of buffalo in the territory of Russia are not settled. Now in the nursery two young females have grown up: Martha at the age of 1 year and Marsian at the age of 1.8 years. We are looking for a new home, but the main condition is that young animals should be provided with good living conditions.
