The All-Russian Nature Festival “Pristine Russia”, traditionally opening in late January, has become one of Muscovites’ favorite cultural events.
In 2020, the Festival welcomes guests for the 7th time. The opportunity to meet the wildlife world reflected in the art of professional photographers attracts thousands of visitors annually. This year the festival opened in the spacious halls of the Moscow Gostiny Dvor on Ilyinka Street.
The opening ceremony of the Festival gathered a lot of honored guests, among them the famous wildlife photographers, scientists, journalists, employees of nature reserves and national parks, representatives of ministries and departments. The festival was opened by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation on environmental issues, ecology and transport Sergey Borisovich Ivanov. “I will never tire of admiring the beauties of Russian nature,” he said to those gathered with these words, thanking them for their interest in the Festival.
The exhibition features 574 wildlife photographs carefully selected by the organizers. Among them – 2 photos taken by an employee of our reserve Olga Kalinina. In the “Trap” nomination, the main prize went to the Leopard Land National Park, which presented truly unique pictures.
On the sidelines of the Festival lively masters of wildlife photography talked to each other – and journalists had a rare opportunity to see the faces of those who, in order to take a rare picture, sometimes wait weeks for such luck.
