Volunteers form Gazprom Transgaz Moskva Company helped the Proksko-Terrasny Zapovednik to build a storehouse for hay.

People in Moscow Region enjoy the long anticipated warmth of summer, but the nature reserve employees need to think about the coming cold season. The work of collecting hay for the Main Wisent Breeding Center is in full power. Hay is nearly all harvested, it has become dryer. So it is time to create a place to store it for winter.

Old friends of the reserve and irreplaceable helpers from Gazprom Transgaz Moskva Company came to give a hand in this task. The volunteers spent two days – the whole weekend – to make welding jobs for the future storehouse.

Today food for our wisents is safe from rain or snow. Warm hay is a comfortable home for other inhabitants of the protected forest. Last year weasel – a small enemy of the rodents – chose hay as home for winter.
