“On April 5, 2016 the acting head of the Central Federal District (CFD) Department of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service Eliseev K.U. with the help of the Prosecutor of the CFD department of the General Prosecutor Office Sulimenkov M.M. held a visit to an FSBI “The Prioksko-Terrasniy Natural Biosphere Reserve” to carry out a meeting with the reserve officials in the Voronezh Office of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service (the Office) on the implementation of the control over the reserve’s performance of fire prevention measures in the framework of fulfilling the requirements of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service and the order of the CFD department of the General Prosecutor № 30-38-2016 on 17.03.2016 about the compliance with the legislation for identifying and bringing to justice the perpetrators of the fire regime on especially protected natural territories of Federal significance and reimbursement caused by fire damage.

The meeting participants included the reserve head Grigoriev E.M., the heads of UND and PR in Serpuhov area of Moscow region EMERCOM, the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Serpuhov area and others. A decision was made at the meeting that any detection of violations of the FGBI “The Prioksko-Terrasniy Natural Biosphere Reserve” regime and its protective zone that contain signs of crimes provided by the article 261 and 262, Chapter 26 of the Russian Penal Code, the relevant materials should be immediately sent to the Preliminary Investigation Bodies for the inspection in order of the articles 144-145 of the Criminal Procedure Code with a compulsory notification of the Central Federal District Department of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service and Interdistrict Enviromental Prosecutor’s Office in Moscow region.

While taking final decisions the special attention was paid to the needs of a closer interagency cooperation in the relevant bodies’ functions performance in these areas.”
