Within the framework of the International Bird Day, the staff of our reserve held a traditional meeting with schoolchildren of educational establishments in the Serpukhov district. At such meetings, children receive new knowledge about the birds of the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve.

International Bird Day started for the kids with a short film about the reserve and its inhabitants. Then the schoolchildren were shown a presentation “Birds of the Moscow Region”. Schoolboys learned a lot of interesting things about which birds are often found in our region, and the encounter with which are very rare and good luck.

Continuation of the holiday became interactive games: “Associations”, “Find extra bird”, Вird quiz. Meeting with schoolchildren finished the master class “Bird from textile”. This creative work was very popular with everyone and did not leave indifferent, the children happily laughed, discussed the joint work.

Teachers and schoolchildren of the Vasilievskaya secondary school expressed great gratitude to the staff of the environmental education department of the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve. In memory of this wonderful meeting, the children received small souvenirs from the reserve.
