To the nature reserve with gifts
Today the 5th grade pupils from Serpukhov School of Modern Education arrived at the Central Estate of the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve. The guests had plans not only to go on an excursion to the bison, but also to take part in a charity event – to fill a huge wooden “Treasure Chest” with gifts. This time the guys brought a whole car of fresh treats – apples, zucchini and pumpkins. After handing over the valuable goods to the reserve’s specialists, the friendly team went on an excursion to the Bison Breeding Centre. The students watched the mighty animals with interest and, knowing that every bison would receive their delicious gift in the evening, listened with great attention to the guide’s story about their nutrition. The pupils from School of Modern Education with their tutor Irina Alatortseva have been taking part in the “Chest of Goodness” campaign for 5 years. For their active and long-term help to bison centre, the pupils and their tutor received official letters of thanks, with which they gladly took several memorable photos.
People have a holiday, bison – treats
Last weekend the square near the Cultural Development Center “Vertical” in Pushchino was filled with bright colors and joyful smiles from residents. A traditional Harvest Fair was held here, dedicated to the end of summer and the beginning of golden autumn. The harvest festival brought together residents of Pushchino of all ages – from young to old. The participants generously shared their achievements from their homesteads and works of culinary art. An exhibition of vegetables and fruits was organized right on the square. Huge pumpkins, ripe and juicy apples, incredibly beautiful autumn flower compositions, fragrant fruit pies – everything created a festive mood. Despite the past summer, all the guests of the holiday sincerely enjoyed the autumn warmth. The owners of record-breaking vegetables competed in harvest nominations, where the winners were determined by popular vote. Pumpkins and zucchini that won contests or just reached the finals were quickly moved to the themed photo zone, which immediately became a popular place to create memorable photos. The festive atmosphere was supported by vivid performances by local artists, creative teams and two inseparable full-length dolls “Bison”, who specially came to the festival from the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve.
