On the Day of Reserves and National Parks on January 11, MOU “Turovskaya secondary school” hosted guests. We invited employees of the department of environmental education and educational tourism of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Prioksko-Terrasny State Reserve”.

The work of the staff of Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve is acknowledged at the highest level. January 11, the Day of Reserves and National Parks honored employees of a number of leading protected areas were awarded by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.
From small to large
On January 21, specialists of environmental education FGBU “Prioksko-Terrasny State Reserve” summed up the results of the interregional eco-contest “Make bird feeders”, held as part of the All-Russian campaign “Feed the birds in winter”. 158 self-made bird feeders were registered for participation, 25 of which made it to the finals. On Saturday on the territory of the Prioksko-Terrasny State Natural Biosphere Reserve in the conference hall of the Central Manor there was an amazing awarding ceremony for the finalists. The organizers were pleasantly surprised not only by the works, but also by the age of the participants – contestants from three to 74 years old came to the awards ceremony!
Awards for tour guides
At the end of the working day on January 21, another event was held at the Central Estate of Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve – the annual meeting of all active tour guides. In a warm and friendly atmosphere the results of the tourist year were summarized, and each guide was awarded a personal title: “The Most Productive”, “The Most Positive” (the most positive feedback), “The Fastest” and even “Grew up with bison”. The program of the event also included participation in the environmental education quiz “Reserve Quiz”. The three who gave the most correct answers received anniversary calendars “75 years of the Central Bison Nursery”. The event ended with a tea party and awarding of souvenirs.
“Warmth” in Serpukhov
Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve took part in the most heartwarming festival “Warmth”, which is one of the top events of the regional project “Winter in Moscow Region”, held on January 21 in the city district of Serpukhov in the park named after Oleg Stepanov. The guests of the festival were photographed with the Bison dolls, and six lucky visitors got free tickets to the ecological trail “The Road to the Bison”. There was also a lot of entertainment for all ages.
Give your 106
On January 30, the Central Estate of Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve hosted a large-scale action “Give Your 106”, timed to coincide with the 106th anniversary of the establishment of the Russian reserve system. Representatives of the All-Russian public-state movement of children and youth “Movement of the First”, advisors of directors for education and interaction with children’s public associations of Serpukhov, Protvino, Pushchino and representatives of the administration of Serpukhov came to the one and only reserve in the Moscow region. The event started with a flash mob, where 50 participants lined up in the shape of the number 106. 106 kg of carrots and the same number of apples were donated to the Central Bison Nursery. Bird feeders, birdhouses and 106 kg of seeds were given to the birds wintering in the Prioksky forest. In gratitude, the Reserve’s specialists gave the participants an interesting presentation and an excursion “The Road to the Bison” to the first Russian bison nursery.
