On the last warm Saturday of autumn in the Prioksko-Terrasny reserve again a volunteer day was held. The forecast said unequivocally – since Sunday the temperature will drop, and prolonged rains will begin.
This time, we were visited by employees of a large transport company “DHL Russia”, which employs more than 360,000 employees, and branches are located in 220 countries. Not surprisingly, 60 people arrived in the Prioksko-Terrasny reserve! 41 adults and 19 children arrived.
Since the morning, yellow t-shirts (the corporate color of “DHL”) began to flash in our bus park. The number of them grew and grew! Affairs, as always, there were many, but so many volunteers helped them quickly enough.
A small group of volunteers was sent to the Central Bison nursery to paint the fence and dig up the pillars for the feeders. The main part of the volunteers was occupied at the Central Manor. The old vegetable store was dismantled, order was placed on the ecological path “Through the foliage”, the bushes were cut, a large number of acorns were collected.
When parsing the repository, at the very bottom of the pit, we found the discontented owner of the room – a small mouse. When he was taken to the light, he expressed his protest with dissatisfied sobs. After a short photo shoot, the animal retired to its shelter.
Finally the work was finished, and everyone gathered for a traditional tea party. Each participant of the volunteer day received a commemorative badge and a bracelet. Having recovered their strength, they all went on an excursion to the Central Bison Cattery, and some wished to go to the ecological path “Through the Foliage”.
It was a beautiful day off, spent with the benefit of nature.
Many thanks to the employees of DHL!
