Congratulations to our scientists!

On February 8, on the Day of the Russian Science, we congratulate scientists of the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve.

February 8, 1724 (January 28, according to the old style) by the decree of the Senate on the personal order of Tsar Peter I, the Russian Academy of Sciences was founded. Since 1999, February 8 is officially established in our state as the Day of Russian Science.
The first reserves in Russia were created by scientists. It is scientists – devotees and pioneers who passed thousands of miles of unexplored lands, created a science on the preservation of rare species of animals and plants. Their research became the basis of the system of protected natural areas. And without scientific research, no reserve or national park can be imagined today.
At the same time in our days, scientists remain enthusiastic. Everyone knows the challenges that science faces today in protected areas. Loyalty to our cause, profound professional knowledge, vast experience in working in the wild nature help our scientists in their work.
The staff of the Prioksko-Terrasny Nature Reserve congratulates all scientists working in all reserves and national parks of Russia on the day of Russian science. And in their person – all scientists of our country.

Good luck to you, friends!
