On the Victory Day’s eve on May 6, 7 and 8 three baby-bisons were born in the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve.

 Bisons are very cautious animals and they try to hide their posterity from outsiders. At first after calving bisons try not to show their newborns, they do not even bring them to the forage reserve.

Sometimes you can see the calves from afar. It happens when the female bison leaves the baby-bison by a tree or in deep grass while she leaves for feeding. There she eats quickly and soon goes back to her baby. There were cases when bisons brought their calves to the forage reserve only in a week.

Today, on May 10 the reserve staff had a chance to meet one of the newborns, whose mother is a 11 year old Muribela. Alexander Kuluchenko took a few shots of two days old calve and her parent.
